A parliamentary delegation attending the 28th Conference of Speakers and Presiding Officers of the Commonwealth (CSPOC) arrived in Jaipur on Saturday morning for a sightseeing visit. Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani welcomed the foreign delegates at the airport and extended traditional royal Rajasthani hospitality to them.
Assembly Principal Secretary Bharat Bhushan Sharma, Principal Secretary (GAD) Navin Jain, and Jaipur Collector Dr Jitendra Soni were present on the occasion.

Speaker Devnani said, “We intend to use the opportunity of this post-Delhi CSPOC sightseeing trip to provide these parliamentarians with glimpses of the history, legacy, heritage, art, and culture of our glorious past. This rich legacy has been preserved and conserved at various monumental sites with immense tourism potential.”
The delegation, comprising 120 members from 40 nations, was enthralled by the grandeur, sculptures, and artworks, and learned about the glorious history of Amer Palace, Sheesh Mahal, and the vast Jaleb Chowk. They were also spellbound by the royal City Palace and the historic Hawa Mahal.
Deputy Chief Minister and Princess of the erstwhile Jaipur royal state, Diya Kumari, welcomed the foreign guests at the City Palace. Elaborate arrangements were made to ensure a memorable visit to the historic sites. To give the visitors a closer experience, suitable arrangements were also made for their night halt at selected tourist locations.
In addition to visiting tourist attractions, the visiting parliamentarians also toured the Constitution Club of Rajasthan, located near the Assembly buildings. Speaker Devnani hosted a ceremonial dinner for the delegates at the Constitution Club on Saturday evening.
Governor Haribhau Bagade, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Leader of Opposition in Rajasthan Tika Ram Jully, and several other dignitaries also attended the event. The delegation is scheduled to depart from Jaipur on Sunday morning.
